Tansi, hello!
I am Leanna, the beadworker behind Cree by the Sea. My ancestry is Nehiyaw (Cree), German, and Scottish. I am a visitor on the territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Tsleil-Waututh and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) peoples and I am grateful to be able to live, work, and play on these territories.
I began beading around three years ago. The incredibly talented Alli Matchett was my first beading teacher/mentor. Since that time, I have joined two beading circles with other Indigenous folks, and beading has become an important means of connecting with community and culture.
If you have any questions, send me a message at [email protected].
I am so grateful to be able to share my work with you all! Hay-hay, thank you!
